Whisper to Lace-Violet Shamrock

I sit at my window this morning where the wind like a passer-by stops for a moment, nods to me and goes.

Whisper to Lace-Purple Stars

Light the purple stars,

Let my thoughts around you when I am gone,

Like the afterglow of sunset at the margin of starry silence.

Whisper to Lace-Violet Mist

Violet Mist, like love, floats upon the heart of the hills and brings out glamorous of beauty.

Whisper to Lace-Butterfly Loves The Flower

Every butterfly is the spirit of flower,

Come back to seek herself…………

Whisper to Lace-Butterfly

The little flower lies in the dust.

It sought the path of the butterfly.

If

I forward it to my son, since I expect that he could be a man as Kipling’s saying:

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

P.S. I Love You

The story begins from a fight. Holly is running up stairs and Gerry is in hot

pursuit her. Gerry is apologizing to Holly, but he is really not quite sure what

he did wrong--he just wants to make up and not sleep in the bathtub.

They have married for nine years, however, they do not have kids and much

money, even as such, they still love each other very much.  The next scene is

about Gerry's wake, it bring me feel a little bit bittersweet, especially when the

song “Fairytale of New York” are played and sung by his friends.  A few weeks

later, the letters begin (Gerry writes those letters before his death), he crafts a

plan to keep Holly’s life going for one year until she is able to move on her own,

his letters encourage her to get out, sing Karaoke, go to Ireland, even fall in love

again, his love is unselfish and everlasting.  Finally, Holly gets rid of the grief

gradually and finds her dreams and goes on with her life.

This movie is sad (I cried through the whole film), but also is humorous, romantic,

realistic, and hopeful!!  After seeing this movie, I and husband both think we

should cherish each other more, and should not waste the time to fight for some

meaningless stuffs.

I love two songs in this movie:

“The Galway Girl”, it was sung by Steve Earle----à YouTube - Galway Girl now in the movie "PS I Love You".

The Lyrics is as following:

Well, I took a stroll on the old long walk
Of a day -I-ay-I-ay
I met a little girl and we stopped to talk
Of a fine soft day -I-ay-I-ay
And I ask you, friend, what's a fella to do
'Cause her hair was black and her eyes were blue
And I knew right then I'd be takin' a whirl
'Round the Salthill Prom with a Galway girl

We were halfway there when the rain came down
Of a day -I-ay-I-ay
And she asked me up to her flat downtown
Of a fine soft day -I-ay-I-ay
And I ask you, friend, what's a fella to do
'Cause her hair was black and her eyes were blue
So I took her hand and I gave her a twirl
And I lost my heart to a Galway girl

When I woke up I was all alone
With a broken heart and a ticket home
And I ask you now, tell me what would you do
If her hair was black and her eyes were blue
I've traveled around I've been all over this world
Boys I ain't never seen nothin' like a Galway girl

“Fairytale of New York”------sung by Pogues, -----à YouTube - the pogues - fairytale of new york

The lyrics is as following:

It was christmas eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me, wont see another one
And then he sang a song
The rare old mountain dew
I turned my face away
And dreamed about you

Got on a lucky one
Came in eighteen to one
Ive got a feeling
This years for me and you
So happy christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true

Theyve got cars big as bars
Theyve got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
Its no place for the old
When you first took my hand
On a cold christmas eve
You promised me
Broadway was waiting for me

You were handsome
You were pretty
Queen of new york city
When the band finished playing
They howled out for more
Sinatra was swinging,
All the drunks they were singing
We kissed on a corner
Then danced through the night

The boys of the nypd choir
Were singing galway bay
And the bells were ringing out
For christmas day

Youre a bum
Youre a punk
Youre an old slut on junk
Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed
You scumbag, you maggot
You cheap lousy faggot
Happy christmas your arse
I pray God its our last

I could have been someone
Well so could anyone
You took my dreams from me
When I first found you
I kept them with me babe
I put them with my own
Cant make it all alone
Ive built my dreams around you

Whisper to Lace-White World

Through you, I shall see the world as white,

spring wander in white,

white butterflies in the air,

white daisies prank the ground,

white clouds stray ……………

Whisper to Lace-La Vie En Rose

Quand il me prend dans ses bras

Qu’il me parle tout bas

Je vois la vie en rose………………

Piaf's song flowed in the air~~La Vie En Rose~~ It is the one of my

favorite songs, rose stands for the beauty and love, but its thorn always

hurts the people who want to hold it.  The life of rose that is supposed to

be wonderful and romantic, it lures people to pursue and forget the

probable misery might come after.

Whisper to Lace-Morocco Cloud

What impression will be raised upon mention about Morocco?  Is Sahara

desert? or is the movie “ Casablanca”? or is the architecture decorated by

colorful mosaic?

Whisper to Lace-Lady Catherine

Remember the aunt of Mr. Darcy in “Pride & Prejudice”-----Lady Catherine?

She is a rich, well educated, but arrogant, cold and full of class consciousness

woman, her behavior is hard to be recognized.  However, sometimes, do we

make same mistake unwittingly as she did?……

Whisper to Lace-Victoria Cross

The Victoria Cross was introduced in 1856 by Queen Victoria to reward acts of

valour during the Crimean War. Perhaps, the queen and the war have been gone

away, but the women are still live valorously in the jungle world, so the brave

women should be rewarded a Victoria Cross accordingly.

Whisper to Lace-Cleopatra

What ultimately made Cleopatra attractive was her wit, charm and "sweetness

in the tones of her voice".  In most depictions, Cleopatra is put forward as a

great beauty.  Her hyacinth face, her Naiad airs to let people to know the

grandeur that was Ancient Egypt…………..
